Friday Favorites! Pumpkins

Happy Friday Friends!  I'm joining Andrea and Erika to share my favorites things!

This week it's all about Pumpkins and Fall Decorating. There is just something about seeing pumpkins around my home.

Although in Florida we don't really get fall like temperatures, its the beginning of a cool down and fun festivities...so when the pumpkins come out, I know it's near.

Sambo feels the same way I do about it! Can't you tell :-)

I picked up a wonderful chair at Goodwill the other day! What a steal for $9.99?

I'm enjoying this chair so much! I love the warm tone it brings in next to my faux mantel.

Adding  a small pumpkin to each room makes it so festive and fun!

I painted my antique dresser. I'm loving the way it turned out. I used Annie Sloan Graphite.

There's just something about pumpkins, coffee and candles this time of year!

I'm loving the textures in my bedroom! The stripes with the fur makes me a little giddy! Did I mention ruffles!?

Adding a tiny bit of fall foliage makes for a perfect fall bedroom.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Friends!  It’s been such a long time since I’ve written a blog post. What better way to start it off then to share my favorites for the week!  I''m joining Andrea and Erika to share my favorites things!

Apple Strudel candle and pumpkin spice coffee! It screams fall to me!

I’ve partnered with Circle E candles for a giveaway! Click here to enter. This candle smells amazing. Fall in a jar!

My sweet Sambo! Isn’t he handsome! I'm loving my faux mantle my husband built. I added wood slices and it gave it a warm cozy feel. It was such a super easy DIY.

I added some fall touches to my bedroom also. It feels so cozy and festive now!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Friends! I'm linking up today to share my favorites of the week. Sharing a few of my favorites memories this week.

Come on over and join us.

This gal! I'm so blessed God gave her to me! She's a beauty inside and out. We celebrated her 20th birthday this week!

Good morning Beautiful! Loving my new mug from Sweet Mint Homemade on Etsy!

Here's a before picture of our kitchen remodel. We remodeled this entire house. Still in the process. It's going slow, because we both work full time jobs and doing most of the work ourselves.

AFTER...

We had a great time at the beach the last Saturday. Still a little cool, but we walked searched for sharks teeth and shells. Oh how relaxing the ocean is.

This boy! He always steals the show.

I'm also loving my new Daniel Wellington watch. Mention Promo Code HODGESABODE for 15% off and an interchanging band. It's like getting two watches for the price of one! Click here to get yours.

Came across some of our unedited wedding pics! This day was so fabulous...It rained and rained! It actually POURED, the wedding was delayed because it was a garden wedding. We were soaked. Our hair was wet and we were sweating profusely. But it was perfect!

Coming out of the bridal suite, hoping the rain doesn't come pouring again!

Me and my daddy!

I hope you all have a blessed weekend!
xoxo, Angela

Kitchen Makeover

Happy Friday Friends! I'm linking up today to share my favorites of the week. It's been unseasonably cold in FLORIDA. I believe it's been cold all over the nation.

Come on over and join us.

Its Friday! Who's ready to tackle the week OR get tackled one? I wanted to show you the progress we have made on our home.

My husband purchased this home from his grandma a few years back. It was a rental up until the day we moved in.

We needed to make some repairs, which made us gut the entire house.

The only thing that didn't end up coming out of the house was our kitchen cabinets. We did remove them only to have them reinstalled when we realized we had to cut them to attempt to get them out the door.

We decided to paint them and just use them as they were.

Here you see the original cabinets, flooring and counter tops.

We painted the cabinets, my husband built the counter tops and then tiled them. We added subway tiled back splash!

We are completely happy with the way this basic kitchen remodel has turned out.

We  spent about $600 in all our supplies. Labor of course was free, because my husband and I did it all ourselves.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday Friends! I'm linking up today to share my favorites of the week. It's been unseasonably cold in FLORIDA. I believe it's been cold all over the nation, I can't believe how cold it's been here!

Come on over and join us.

This sweet boy is spoiled rotten. When it's cold outside, he thinks his place is right up on this couch beside us!

These $4 pajama bottoms! They are so warm and cozy! When Florida reaching record breaking temps, they are perfect for lounging around the house.

Date Night! Date Night with my hubby is so much fun! No matter what we are doing, we have such a good time together. Sushi is our favorite!

Kitchen Remodel - Counter tops

Hi friends,

I'm so excited to share the process of remodeling our kitchen. We gutted the entire house and started from scratch.

Flooring, cabinets, back splash and island. We were planning on purchasing new cabinets and counter tops. Once we realized we would have to cut the bottom cabinets to get them out of our home, we decided to paint them and continue using them.

I’ll show you a couple of the before photos of our kitchen.

Once we reinstalled the bottom cabinets, my Husband started building the counter tops. He used plywood and then added backer board to give them stability.
Once he measured and completed the tops, we decided to tile them.

Then we sealed with non sanded grout.

We are so proud of the process. It was one of our favorite DIY projects to date.
Of course we painted the cabinets white and made the kitchen crisp and clean!
